Ecohealth Approach in Anticipating Japanese Encephalitis in Tulungagung District, East Java Province

Japanese-B-encephalitis (JE) is a disease caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus from Flavivirus group, Flaviviridae family. In Indonesia, JE cases have not been widely reported in both animals and humans, although humans common. Yamanaka positive for anti-JE antibodies 96 (6%) pigs Tulungagung District. Environmental elements need to be identified support establishment of healthy ecosystem minimize potential transmission. This study aims identify environment that can transmission conceptualize possible approaches. The method carried out conducting environmental observations risky conditions April November 2016 searching supporting literature. results showed there were many puddles chicken pig farms. Besides that, open household waste residential areas. place habitat Culex Sp. mosquitoes. Another research 19.05% who Ab improvement done cultivating fish resistant dirty water, example, catfish ponds farms construction closed disposal facilities.
